Well I was quite disappointed. What did you think?Lack of school robes and quidditch was disappointing. Patronus was nothing as I imagined, but that's to be expected...

Yes, I missed the quidditch, too. I'm fairly sure that most avid HP fans would've stuck around for another 5 minutes if they included a touch of quidditch action. But the book is so long, that scenes that don't further the plot have to be eliminated, I suppose. It takes away a bit of the magic, though.
On the other hand, I thought the cinematography, or the computer graphic scenes of Hogwarts and other areas, to be exact, were beautiful, in a fantasy sort of way.

Pros 1-loved the new landscape around Hogwarts because everything isn't as green and pretty. more realistic. 2-I actually liked their wearing of Muggle clothes more, it showed that they were kids just like us 3-liked the big clock 4-liked the location of Hagrid's hut and whomping willow more (ties in with landscape, PRO#1) 5-acting of the three actors much improved 6-much better music 7-good looking Buckbeak 8-like new interpretation of the Leaky Cauldron...a little darker and grimier. more like a pub. Cons 1-hated Lupin...needed longer hair and no facial hair 2-werewolf was bald...needed more hair 3-lack of quidditch 4-lack of the fact that Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs were Harry's dad and his friends (even though it said their nicknames on the map) 5-trelawney was too funny. supposed to be more seriously and mysteriously mental. 6-Lupin wasn't friendly enough at beginning on train 7-don't like Fred and George's long hair 8-lack of Oliver Wood, in his last year at Hogwarts 9-movie was way to short...could have been a little longer to add these things I didn't like about it

OH MOVIE TALK!!! I loved the movie first of all and I think it was well made...I do think that they left out very important details about how moony wormtail padfoot and prongs got their names...how they used to be best friends....if i had not read the book i think i would've been confused...My Aunt who I went to see it w/ was very confused b/c she didnt understand how Sirius guilty throughout the whole movie suddenly became innocent I expected Sirius and Lupin to be more good looking...and I hated Sirius the way they did him...they made him look more like a murderer w/ all those tattoos and the whole point is that he's innocent.

Sirius looked like he went to prison for being a cocaine addict. What was w/ his teeth? I couldn't get over them!! Oh how come they got a new Fat Lady? I have to say the new one was funny esp. when she tried to break the champagne glass w/ her voice but just smashed it! ~Amy~

OK .... the movie dissapointed me too, at first... but the development of Harry Potter as a character is amazing!!!! I didn't like how things all of a sudden changed with Hogwarts!!!!! I do like this version of Hagwarts better but they should have stuck with the same format or started out with this one to begin with!!!! I loved the special effects, but the movie seemed to be missing all that magical effect like the first two!!! Where was Quidditch? Where were the robes inbetween classes? What about the stairs? They were stationary!!! And the new Dumbledore.... I was personaly disapointed but then again he had some tough shoes to fill, to me it seems he is just tring to hard and is too happy during the "dark times"!!!!! ~Erwen~

I am sad that the Dumbledore died - the one from the first movie because he was great. Of course, the Dumbledore in this movie has the acting skills to make up for that. Though I think the death of the other actor of Dumbledore might've given Rowling her idea for killing off Dumbledore in HP5, what do you lot think?

He's got a point Prof. Llaria, though if you've written anything Andy, you would know that sometimes your story doesn't turn out how you originally planned it. ^^
